In May, the team from SNG visited the Good & New Charity Shop in Letterkenny. We received a warm welcome from Lynn, Jeanette, Nancy, and the entire team. The experience was both enlightening and enjoyable, and we were impressed by their dedication.
A Beacon of Hope for Cancer Patients
The Good & New Charity Shop began in 2008, founded by cancer patients who wanted to give back to their community. Since then, it has become a vital support system for cancer patients in Donegal. Their most important service is a free bus that transports patients from Donegal to Galway for treatment. This service helps reduce the stress of transportation, allowing patients to focus on their care.
The charity also helps fund accommodation through the Letterkenny University Hospital, easing the financial burden on patients and families. Furthermore, the Good & New Charity Shop operates a drop-in centre where families can receive reliable information and emotional support in a welcoming space.

SNG's Commitment to Good & New Charity Shop
At SNG, we strive to make a meaningful impact through charitable contributions. In the past, we made smaller donations to various charities. However, this year, we decided to focus our efforts on one deserving cause. After a company-wide vote, we chose to support Good & New Charity Shop.
Our employees raised €2,500 to donate to this important cause. We’re also able to contribute to smaller organisations through other donations. Supporting Good & New is a cause close to our hearts, as it does so much for the Donegal community.
